JUDE KELLY

Jude Kelly CBE is CEO and Founder of The WOW Foundation. She founded WOW to celebrate the achievements of women and girls and confront global gender injustice. Starting as a three-day festival at London’s Southbank Centre in 2010, where Jude was Artistic Director for 12 years, the festival now takes place in 30 locations across six continents.

Jude has directed over 200 theatre and opera productions, is the recipient of two Olivier Awards, a BASCA Gold Badge Award for contribution to music, a Southbank Award for opera, an RPO award for her festival The Rest is Noise, Women’s Hour’s one of the 100 most powerful women in the UK in 2013, Red Magazine’s 2014 Creative Woman of the Year, CBIs 2016 First Woman Award for Tourism and Leisure and in 2017 the inaugural Veuve Clicquot Woman of the Year Social Purpose Award.

Jude has founded a range of arts institutions and has commissioned and supported the work of thousands of female artists across all genres.

In 1997, she was awarded an OBE for her services to theatre and in 2015 she was made a CBE for services to the Arts.

VALERIA BULLO

Valeria started her film career in corporate films and documentaries before moving into independent feature films for companies like Warp and Revolution. She worked her way up through the ranks of production, eventually undertaking roles working on big budget studio feature films for Warner Brothers, Universal and Disney including Inception, Fury Road and Maleficent.

Valeria is the founder of CineMamasUK; an online platform aimed at helping job-sharing and encouraging flexibility in the film industry. The platform will support parents and carers wanting to job share, by providing valuable information and helping them find someone to buddy up with, but also assist producers and HoDs to manage job sharing crew.

AILEEN GONSALVES

Aileen trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama and works professionally in film, theatre, television and radio. She was associate director on the RSC The Tempest and director of the RSC First Encounters UK tour of The Tempest in 2017. Other RSC work includes assistant director to Tim Supple on Midnight’s Children and Greg Doran on All’s Well That Ends Well. RSC International and National Youth Ensemble director, Director on the Scholars Pitch Project and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the RSC Regional Schools Celebration at the Swan.

She is founder and Artistic Director of Butterfly She has written and directed Butterfly in a performance in association with the LSO for the Barbican called Play On Shakespeare. She was Head of the MA in Acting course 2012-2015 at Arts Educational Schools London where she has been developing her unique acting technique rooted in Meisner The Gonsalves Method.
